  • Happy 77th Mum

Only 23 years until you get a letter from the future king!

Love your loads, glad you liked my card.

  • Mind over matter over mind

Jeez, we know the usual saying is mind over matter, but, matter over mind seems to be kicking in – ouch…

  • A fine test in Leeds

Yesterday was a good day for many reasons, but quite importantly I worked (yes overtime!), followed by a great night out in Leeds straight after, from the very start it was amusing, I get on a completely empty train at Ilkley station in the morning, and some guy comes and sits next to me, erm, time to get off and go for a walk for me!

We were due to meet at ‘Spoons’ in Leeds train station, I ended up at the White Rose bar, woah, some characters in there, guess I fit in, but rushed out after realising I was in the wrong place! We called at a few bars, very good music, this town is lively, and we should have eaten at ‘Reds’ but it was full, ended up at Rib Shack in the Corn Exchange, I think?! fantastic food.

Im so happy ‘The wall of flames’ was not attempted, the staff were very courteous and allowed us to test the sauce first, jeez, that is the hottest sauce ever, even ice didn’t cool the mouth down, what fun seeing us six falling around the table with mouths on fire…

During the evening, well, a woman sits next to me “what do you do then” she asks, my reply “I like walking by the canal when its frozen over” what planet caused me to say that!? future wife material she was… but in the station when three of us are waiting for the taxi some guy walks up and says to me “do you have a big cock” then walks off, what the… ha ha.

Top night, first big night out with friends since returning to work and straight after working too, a good test on myself, and very happy with the result.

  • Root canal shock

Well, today it was another visit to the Leeds Dental Institute, the upper right ‘2’ needed taking down to gum level for a denture to be fit, ended up having some huge root canal done, the dentist – not a student, mentioned that it is usually two visits, and that the root was in pretty bad shape so decided to do it all. He did a great job, very polite, I must be honest though, I can’t wear the denture, they are making another but iv no chance of singing with them.

  • Wembley, Capital one league cup final 2013

Finally got my article wrote, what a fantastic reminder of a brilliant day out, Bradford City and Swansea City, a credit to football.

    The full article is here.

  • A sarcoid is still fighting the Atos assesment and ESA

Got a very well wrote letter from the higher courts, at last they appear to have done some research on sarcoidosis, even mentioning some parallels to its cousin, cancer. As expected, I failed, but they seem to recognize its not straight forward, though they don’t mention the words ‘grey area’ I have another two options to take it forward, one could cost a few £’s…

Im so close to getting sarcoidosis more noticed, or maybe not? I need to breath for a few days and think about it all, the UK Biobank (three years ago, before I knew I had sarcoid, I was selected to take part), after recently re-contacting them, they want to do a minimum three hour test in Stockport, I could use this to run in parallel with my potential fight against the Atos assessments and the ESA?

In the space of a few months I went from being in the fittest and healthiest 3% of 40 – 69 year old’s to erm, not being too well at all!

  • Hula Hoofs, the best in snacking food for children

A great new release for those hungry fingers, a horse meat scandal? not here, check out the very new…

An idea by me put into real life by my good friend Andrea, a perfect blend!

  • Bradford City to win at Wembley

It is almost here, I was going, then I wasn’t, I was going then not, and then my eldest son Jacob won two £72 tickets, I definitely am going with my youngest son Matthew! I was and still am a little worried health-wise, but I booked the Friday, Monday, and Tuesday off work. Had a great time with my Matthew and Jacob in Bradford while collecting the tickets.

My first ever try out at Nandos Bradford, very impressed thanks sons…

Best haircut ever there son! they do bottomless drinks, I asked if they would do bottomless Brahma, a very nice chilled drink.

Obviously Bradford City win, and it will be 4:3!!! C’mon you Bantams…
