  • How to make ice easy for whisky

A good friend got me some nice whisky for the festive (thanks Elvis!), yet I did not have an ice maker and nor was I going to pay for a bag of ice, mind you, it would have thawed out by the time I got it home, and I do not have enough room in the freezer!

And so you can view the Glenmorangie Whisky, sniff up, hmmm… oh yes, I decided to get one of those silicone ice cube trays as they are easy to push the ice out, but…

When you fill them up they bend all over, in fact they just bend regardless, and so after much thought I got the bulb and as can be seen, I found another use for my frozen home made meals…

Yes what a great idea, place the silicone ice cube tray onto that frozen meal and place into the freezer, top idea eh! Look at all those meals too.

  • What is he building now

Its just something that I now prefer, makes everything a little more open plan and not cluttered.

Thing is with these kits, I always end up with spare parts, but the determination this time is certainly to make sure all the parts are used! That fan is what I use in the morning, just to blow me while I get ready for work, keeps the bills down rather than set a timer for the heating.

Yes its coming together, been a long time since, erm, the hanging rail is almost there, obviously, the Ikea Rigga clothes rail hangers are great, about £10 off ebay, you can spend a fortune on the ex shop models but do avoid and for half the price of a six foot heavy duty ex shopping range rail hangers you can get three of the Ikea ones, here you can also just work out that Scampi (our tarantula) is closely watching…

I use one for sports, hobbies, exercise erm, not much these days, but the 50 minutes daily walk during my work commute is good, bring on that there road bike, oh yes, I use another for pretty much work and smart clothing and the other for my smart but casual look, boy have I been able to treat myself since starting work, and give my lads some cash, and all my old clothes to shelter!

  • James Martin and his bike

Most cyclist’s know about James Martin, a while ago he slated cyclist’s, but on this program I caught this snapshot, what can we see to the left of the photo, yes, its James Martin’s mountain bike! I do like Saturday morning live but got fed up of him calling £10 bottle’s of wine ‘bit of a bargain’

  • Worse sarcoid night ever

This morning at about 2:30am my body went bonkers, I needed to check my eyes yet the vertigo feeling was hideous, I did not manage to get a photo but both eyes had turned red, imagine the worse hangover, times it by 10 and then throw in the flu bug, that is something of the feeling, had to phone in sick, proper bind.

Going to rest up, haven’t a clue what started it, maybe I don’t rest up enough at weekends? my diet is sound, job is spot on, the walking during my commute is bang on, one thing, and fingers crossed, my lungs seem to have held out.

This crap illness will not beat me, I have too much to achieve and view over the next 20+ years…

  • Vague pages

Obviously most folks know of Vogue magazine, but what about Vague pages? Coming soon, on here, things that folks find unbelievable and odd, stuff that folks just find, erm, its a little bland at the moment… check soon for, hmmm, oh, Vague pages, you can also send in to make it really Vague.

  • Bradford City 3:1 Aston Villa

Wow, what an amazing game, ok I weren’t there but watched the text rapidly drop down my screen! Bradford City have played three English premiership sides in this cup run so far this season and won them all, they are only a few seasons away from getting back up there.

I reckon a Wembley visit is starting to look very real!!!

    City hammer Aston Villa…

  • Festive bins full

Well, we know how much gets created to throw out during the festive times.

I live in an old mill, and so we share the waste bins, although some neighbours used them too, until a notice was put in place telling them to go away!

  • Happy 16th to my Matt

Another age marker son, well done, love you and your brother tons…

  • Cut that thumb

Over the festive I was making some pasta sauce, tins really are easy to open but I pulled the ring way too hard, it bent and jabbed straight into my thumb, ouch big time.

Once it had stopped bleeding it looked nothing but boy did it take a while to stop.

You can work it out a little more here, it probably took a while to stop bleeding due to the meds, but it healed up in no time probably due to the sarc, yet its painful, right where I hold the plectrums!

This is pretty much what it looked like, but for this photo I used blackcurrant juice…

  • Third stone from the sun yet a smooth number son

    Sometimes a reminder is great.

And a further reminder is greater…
