Stuart Briggs

Living with sarcoidosis, the good, the bad, and lots of in between.

  • Sarcoidosis and the benefits system.

Benefits messing with me again, do I rip a lung out and slap it on the desk? Yeah, im walking hard, trying to ride my bike, trying to get back into music, im trying to take on my illness to get on with life.  If I’m trying to get on and progress in life best possible then would it not be in the best interests of the Employment and Support allowance to support me?  The benefits system in the UK is a disgrace…

  • How should the ‘Absent’ parent behave?

Well, hmmm, difficult one here, but really it is simple?  I’m sure with true input yes it could be better, much better than it is.  Its been mentioned by folks that absent (Non resident parent)  ‘dads’ should earn to see/view/meet ones own child, scary stuff but many believe that this is a way forward.  Children are not a commodity, but it seems those who work with children yet don’t have ones own say they know best, hmmm again…

  • UK riots and stuff.

And so, these riots, too many of the minority post about the police being heavy handed, hmmm… OK, I have seen one vid so far and maybe a little heavy handed? but far more show the thugs, looters, criminals, and such, the student beaten by thugs then again beaten by friendly thugs, argghhh, beyond me how these ‘do gooders’ protect those that need locking up for a good time, discus at your pleasures!!!

  • Right, a regular ‘Blog’ from now on…

Well, after 14 months of not being able to work, today I have my employment termination interview/meeting with my employers, so the last four week will have been; home repossession, bankruptcy, job gone, and a stupid illness.  Hey, its all part of the new approaching life direction, get all my tests and scans out of the way and progress…

  • The shoulder felt heavy?!

    1976 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe…

  • Sarcoidosis sufferer.

Unsure how to start this, Friday 15th October my lung biopsy confirmed I had Sarcoidosis…

In 2000 my dentist could not fathom out what was going on with my gums though he did ask if I had diabetes? As my breath sometimes smelt and tasted somewhat metallic-ish which are symptoms, I got checked for diabetes and was all clear. Then at the Leeds dental hospital it was mentioned that my gums seemed to be over reacting to plaque and food etc. but no further action was required. In 2001 I told my X wife something felt not right with me, was it all in my mind that I just did not feel ok but continued with work and cycling. I told all this to my boss. Read here.

  • Hello again!

I haven’t been doing anywhere near enough on here, soon much more cooking, stories, music, poems and what ever else I can think of…
